Our Vision

We believe in a competitive, market-oriented European dairy sector that meets demand for high-quality dairy products and ingredients, both within the EU and globally. Milk is a highly nutritious raw material that can be processed into a huge variety of products, with applications ranging from retail and food service to use as an ingredient in chocolate, pastry, sauces, pizza, baby food and sports nutrition.

Global demand for dairy continues to grow by between 1% and 2% a year. The EU is already a leading supplier to the world market and is well placed to meet rising global consumption sustainably.

Traders provide a wide range of services to other actors in the dairy supply chain, including risk management, technical know-how, tailor-made ingredients, market expertise, finance, logistics, and the handling of export and import procedures. Through their in-depth market knowledge and extensive networks of suppliers and customers, traders connect supply and demand across all dairy products and ingredients, helping to ensure the best possible valorisation of every milk component. This role increases market efficiency, limits price volatility, and reduces food waste.
